The family of Texas State Trooper Moses Sanchez that was severely wounded while on the job recently released an update on his condition.
His wife released the following statement:
“We have a long journey ahead, but we have unshakeable faith and trust that God will be at our side every step of the way.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during this difficult time. The children and I are humbled and extremely grateful for the outpouring of support for Moses and every member of our family. The people of the Rio Grande Valley have shown just how incredibly special they are as we have witnessed this community band together to support us, Texas DPS and the entire law enforcement community. We also want to say a special thank you to the DHR Neuro ICU doctors, nurses and staff who are providing exceptional care for Moses. You truly are extraordinary human beings, and we feel very blessed that Moses is under your care.”
Sanchez was shot while attempting to question the driver of a hit and run accident. The suspect was captured but Sanchez has struggled to overcome the incident.
