Jesell Hinojosa of Rio Grande City responded on a social media post from the Starr County Special Crimes Unit that listed the 30-year-old and 37-year-old Jose Herrera as wanted for a manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. In the exchange Hinojosa claimed she wasn’t hiding and proclaimed her innocence. The response was met with tips on what to do and a request from the unit to turn herself in.
Hinojosa did in fact turn herself in on November 16th and was booked into the Starr County jail where she will likely be magistrated. Depending on the judge’s decision Hinojosa will have an opportunity to meet bond conditions for her release. The second suspect Jose Herrera has not come forward. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact authorities at 956-487-8892 Ext. 2296 or 956-488-TIPS.
